How PROVEN works

From an observed problem to review, fixing, publication, and verification of the result.

PROVEN starts with what it can observe in the catalog and keeps every change connected to the problem that led to it.

Observe

PROVEN works with the data available in the current context. Try PROVEN and the installed app do not see the same information, so results are presented according to what could actually be checked.

Show the evidence

A check flags a problem only from data it can evaluate. The result stays connected to the field or fragment that was observed and to the evidence that matters.

Review

You can review the problem and its evidence before deciding whether a change is needed. PROVEN does not automatically turn every observation into a modification.

Fix

When a problem has a safe correction, PROVEN can prepare a rule-based proposal or help you edit it. The proposal stays separate from publication and must be reviewed again if the source data changes in the meantime.

Verify

For published changes it can verify, PROVEN reads the result back from Shopify. Shopify accepting the request is not treated on its own as proof that the final value matches the approved change.

Platforms and integration

In Shopify, the Sidekick integration can provide a limited, read-only view of catalog quality and open the relevant product or review directly in PROVEN. Sidekick does not confirm, publish, or execute fixes on the merchant’s behalf.

For WooCommerce, PROVEN has a controlled expansion that can connect and verify the store, run PROVEN detectors, and manage controlled fixes for product title, description HTML, and image ALT text. A separate Merchant workspace with its own authentication also supports controlled title, description HTML, and media ALT remediation with Preview and explicit confirmation.

Woo Merchant bulk remediation is in controlled rollout for up to 10 prepared items, with sequential preview and apply and a preserved per-item outcome. Controlled rollback for supported title, description HTML, and media ALT changes is also in bounded rollout. Woo image-file optimization has implemented publication, verification, recovery, and controlled restore, but live rollout is not yet closed for general availability. WooCommerce billing and webhook/monitoring parity remain outside the current public state.

That is why problems and evidence are the starting point for controlled fixing.
