Remediation and control
How you move from a problem found by PROVEN to a change that is reviewed, approved, published, and verified in Shopify.
On this page
PROVEN keeps the problem it found separate from the change that could fix it. You first see what was observed, then decide whether and how you want to change the catalog.
Three local ways to work
- Manual - edit the proposed value directly.
- Assisted - PROVEN can apply safe, predictable text transformations while you keep editorial control. This mode does not use generative AI.
- Rule-based automation - for problems with a clear correction, PROVEN can prepare the same proposal for the same situation. In the app, this mode is named “Deterministic”.
Not every problem has a safe automatic correction. Ambiguous cases stay in review.
Work by product, then by the affected target
In the product remediation workspace, PROVEN keeps the available problems in one context and groups them by the semantic target they affect: for example the title, description, an SEO field, or an image ALT value.
When several problems affect the same value, they stay together under the same target. When compatible rules can be composed safely and the current value is consistent, PROVEN can prepare one deterministic draft for that target.
For manually editable targets, the editor can start from either the deterministic draft or the current value. The result is validated before the change continues through the normal workflow.
AI assistance for supported fields
For eligible issues targeting the product title, SEO title, or SEO description, PROVEN can generate a contextual AI proposal using verified catalog context.
The AI proposal stays separate from approval and publishing. You can review it and use it as an editable draft; from there, the change follows the normal validation, review, approval, and publishing flow. Manual editing remains available separately.
The product workspace does not enable AI implicitly on every target. AI assistance remains a separate option and appears only for eligible issues where PROVEN offers it explicitly.
See before and after
The current value and proposed value are shown separately before application. You can inspect the difference, edit the proposal, or leave the item unchanged.
Approval is not automatic publication
An approved proposal is not automatically applied in Shopify. Before publication, PROVEN checks the relevant data again. If the product changed in the meantime, publication stops rather than overwriting a newer change.
After publication
For changes it can verify, PROVEN reads the result back from Shopify and connects it to the approved value. “Sent” and “verified” are not treated as the same thing.
Bulk fixes
Bulk fixes are available only when the same rule can be applied safely to every selected item. Ambiguous cases remain for review.
